Ultimate Reset, should you or shouldn’t you.

WHAT IS THE ULTIMATE RESET?

It’s a 21 day cleanse that gradually eliminates dairy, animal proteins, and grains from the diet. There is a specific meal plan you follow with fresh foods that keep you full. I will say that besides the first day, I was never hungry. 

In addition to following the meal plan, you drink a gallon of distilled water each day and take a series of supplements to aid the body in the reset. 

The Reset is broken into 3 phases:
Phase 1: Reclaim
During the first 7 days you begin to alter your diet, slowly removing foods like red meat and refined items that put stress on your digestive system and can tilt your body toward a more acidic state (like coffee). 

Phase 2: Release
In week 2, you continue to refine your diet (since you stopped eating animal proteins in week 1). 

Not only do you release toxins through your digestive track, you experience skin break outs and a rollercoaster of emotions. 

Phase 3: Reclaim
During the final phase, you adjust your diet once again. You cut back on grains and consume mainly fruits and vegetables—for fiber and further alkalinization, and to provide your body with pure, whole foods that are of high nutritional value and are easily absorbed. 

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS? 
While it’s challenging, my husband and I have truly never felt better at this point! So far we have both lost 9.5lbs and we are just starting Phase #2.

I was addicted to coffee, sugar free gum and possibly ENERGIZE before the Reset! So consequently, I had horrible caffeine withdrawal symptoms the first few days and felt like complete crap the entire first week.
We were tired, and hazy, not horrible still worked, but not ourselves. 

But now that we have hit week two, we feel like new people! The fog has lifted. I am filled with creativity and energy. My digestion is SO GOOD, no TUMMY issues and honestly that gas…gone. Terry as well!!

WHAT ARE THE NEGATIVE SIDE EFFECTS?
The first week was ROUGH! Along with the caffeine withdrawal (headache, lethargy, crankiness), I had days I was freezing! 

BUT that is gone now and we feel awesome!

IS IT SAFE TO DO WHILE PREGNANT?
No. 

WHAT ABOUT WORKOUTS?
It’s recommended that you don’t exercise while doing the UR because you want your body’s energy to be focused solely on the internal organs and detoxification process. By exercising, your energy is redirected to muscle repair and negatively impacts the Reset’s focus. 

I have been doing a VERY MODIFIED version of MM 100. I am halfway through this program and didn’t want to stop. So I am just going through the the workouts at a very slow and easy pace…I literally don’t even take my sweatshirt off!

WHAT FOODS ARE ON THE MEAL PLAN?

Lots of fruits and vegetables, whole grains and healthy fats you do have some animal protein in the first phase. And you can have 1 Shakeology a day with water.

AHHHH-Absolutely! At this point, I’ve never felt better! I have more energy, less cravings, improved digestion, and a firmer grasp on my eating habits — and it’s only Week #2!!
